About Event

Come hang out with us in CSE2 G01 for an afternoon with T.A. McCann, Managing Director at Pioneer Square Labs, a Seattle-based startup studio and early-stage venture fund that builds and launches new tech companies with founders and investors.

We’ll kick things off with snacks and a chance to meet other students, founders, and builders, then T.A. will share how he thinks about building and backing startups based on his experience founding multiple companies (including ones acquired by Google and BlackBerry) and helping founders take ideas all the way to funded startups.

He’ll talk for about 30 minutes on topics like:

• what working with a studio like PSL is really like
• how founders think and what VCs look for
• advice for college students interested in startups, tech, or VC

Then we’ll open it up for 20–30 minutes of Q&A — bring your best questions! Whether you’re curious about breaking into VC, building a startup, or just want to hear real stories from someone who’s been deep in the Seattle tech scene for years, this is the place to be. 🎉
