​The Female Innovation Index 2026 tells two stories at once. 86% of female founders are now leveraging AI, and deep tech and AI-driven companies account for the fastest-growing share of capital raised by female-founded startups. Yet when it comes to who controls the capital funding these systems, women-led companies captured just 13% of total VC in 2025. The technology is advancing, while the power gap is not.
