æon: meet the researchers
æon, a collaboration by Spectral41 and Tinyrainboot, launches on Tuesday, July 28.
Join us in uncovering the finding: learn about the lore, the process, and the crossing.
Meet the Researchers
Ana Carolina works through systems. Based in Florianópolis, she builds code, interfaces, and generative studies as different expressions of the same practice. For her, code is both language and material, a way of thinking by making. Most projects begin before the questions are fully formed.
Spectral41 is the ongoing record of that process. An independent lab where small generative systems are built, observed, and documented, with each output treated as evidence rather than design. æon marks the lab's second physical experiment, and its first undertaken as a joint study.
Tinyrainboot is an artist and silversmith. Working exclusively in 1/1, she carves each piece in wax, casts it once into silver, and never recreates it. She makes objects positioned as art rather than jewelry, drawing from mythology, folklore, and the history of sacred objects. For her, adornment is a way of carrying meaning, and the work is a way of finding out.
