YDI Grand Jury: Interaction Design
Welcome to YDI Grand Jury : Interaction Design, a flagship, industry-led project review experience designed to help design students bridge the gap between college juries and real-world design expectations.
At YDI Grand Jury, student work will be reviewed by practicing designers from global companies. These practitioners shape products, brands, and experiences at the highest level, and define what it means to be industry-ready through their hiring and mentorship.
These professionals will break down student projects the way they would in a studio, interview, or hiring panel.
You’ll see selected student interaction design projects presented live, and more importantly, you’ll hear how industry designers think: what they notice first, what they question, what they push back on, and what makes a project feel industry-ready.
Why attend as a viewer

Learn what actually matters in portfolios (and what doesn’t)
Understand how designers evaluate thinking
Pick up language, frameworks, and expectations used in real reviews
And finally, contribute with your own personal critique and help decide the audience favorite project
