Art for Climate Exhibition
Art for Climate is a free-entry exhibit dedicated to platforming and co-creating visions for a post-growth, post-fossil fuel future. Over two days the exhibit will host artists' installations based on the prompt "what does the post fossil fuel city look like?". There will also be a DJ set, drag-tivist show, yoga class, linoprinting, workshops, drinks, conversations with community and more.
It will be hosted on Friday 5th June (17.15 - 21.00) and Saturday 6th June (11.00 - 18.00). Come along to be inspired and connect creative imagination with collective action for a climate-conscious future.

Art for Climate arrives at a time where the attention economy keeps us perpetually distracted and distant from social and ecological reality. It has become easy to scroll past destruction, to remain numbed by statistics and debates. Despite the facts that our systems hinge on exploitation and destruction, we remain locked-in to destructive racial capitalism. While capitalist systems are driven by profit imperatives and technical processes, they are made up of people who are driven by feelings.
Research presented at the 2025 CLIFF conference by Anna Sach showed the number one driver to participation in collective climate action is affective processes.
Art for Climate is an intervention to this rapid destruction, an opportunity to slow down, connect and imagine the city and systems we want to live in. We believe that collaborative creative ideation is key to building a future that centers care and community.
Our hope is this event will demonstrate side-by-side many interpretations of justice, purpose and legacy in a post-growth world. Perhaps these visions will provide us all with some courage and excitement to take part in collective action. This is where our community board comes in, to support and showcase opportunities and organisations fighting for a more just future.
