Web Summit 2026 Meet & Greet - Beach BBQ Edition

​Hello, Friends!

​We are excited to welcome you to our Beach BBQ on Sunday, May 10, to kick off the Web Summit with fellow researchers, scientists, graduate students, founders, investors, and industry experts.

​We’ll be gathering at beautiful Vancouver Sunset Beach for an evening of BBQ, drinks, and great conversation as the sun sets over Vancouver. It’s a great chance to connect, and get to know other conference attendees before the Web Summit week ahead.

​📅 Event Details

• ​Date: Sunday, May 10, 2026

• ​Time: 5:00 PM – 8:30 PM (sunset + afterglow)

• ​Location: Sunset Beach

​🗓️ Agenda

• ​5:00 – 6:00 PM: Welcome & Arrivals

  • ​Arrive any time after 5:30 PM. Grab a drink (non-alcoholic options included) and settle in on the grass.

• ​6:00 – 7:30 PM: BBQ Dinner & Drinks

  • ​Enjoy grilled food and a selection of drinks provided for everyone. There will be plenty of food.

• ​7:30 – 8:30 PM: Networking, Games & Chill

  • ​Connect with other Web Summit attendees, including graduate students, academic researchers, industry scientists, and experts. There will be boardgames for those interested to play!

​💬 Notes

• ​We have Food and drinks but they might not be enough for everyone, consider bringing your own if needed (you are welcome to use the BBQ)!

• ​If you can’t find us, message us (we’ll be checking between 5:00–6:30 PM before putting my phone away).

​We can’t wait to see everyone at the beach to start the Web Summit with great food, great company, and cool conversations. 🌅🔥🍔
