Explorations of Yabba (with Amara Lawrence)
Over 10'000 years ago, our ancestors used natural materials in their architectural practices.
These materials provided ways to make homes durable and comfortable through different seasons. However, with Global Warming impacting us all, we have to rethink our approach.
That's why we've teamed up with Amara Lawrence to bring you 'Explorations of Yabba'. We'll be exploring African Caribbean pottery techniques and thinking about how they can inform new traditions.
This is a hands on workshop. Even though the clay won't stain, we need you to come ready to get stuck in – it will get messy. No prior experience is needed, just a willingness to roll up your sleeves and give it a go.
So are you ready to revisit your roots and see how clay can be used in the way we build today?
