Northeast Regional Fleet Roundtable for the Clean Corridor Coalition
Join us for a focused convening of the Northeast Regional Fleet Electrification Task Force at the Liberty Science Center in Jersey City, NJ.
The Challenge
Our mission is to overcome the critical obstacle identified by regional leaders: the urgent need for cost-effective charging infrastructure for medium and heavy duty vehicles near key freight corridors in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic.
Infrastructure deployment remains hindered by slow interconnection processes, complex permitting, and inconsistent technical standards. This convening will address these barriers head-on to ensure fleets can meet their electrification timelines.
Our 90-Day Mission
The primary goal of this convening is to facilitate the best possible proposals in response to upcoming Clean Corridor Coalition (C3) Program funding opportunities by aligning key stakeholders—including project developers, utilities, and public/private leaders—to help identify systemic "bottleneck" issues, to ensure the C3 Program can facilitate effective deployment of projects, including:
Streamlining Permitting & Procurement: Reducing the administrative friction that slows down deployment cycles.
Site Qualification & Selection: Identifying pre-qualified sites and assessing host capacity for high-power charging.
Technical & Workforce Readiness: Addressing supply chain constraints, OEM commitments, and the need for skilled labor to install and maintain systems.
Why Participate?
This is a collaborative space for leaders committed to transparency and measurable progress. Participation will help guide the C3’s distribution of state-level funding opportunities this year and help utilities and local governments plan for potential MHD EV charging projects throughout the region.
Confirmed Speakers for the event include:
· Melissa Evanego, Assistant Director, Air Monitoring and Mobile Sources, NJDEP
· Pip Decker, CEO, Current Trucking
· Dr. Shihab Kuran, Executive Chairman, EV Edison
· Kevin Miller, Managing Policy Advisor, Tesla
· Dawn Neville, Senior Manager Electric Transportation, PSE&G
About C3
C3 is a multi-state effort that will bring nearly $250M to the Mid-Atlantic region for electric medium- and heavy-duty vehicle charging infrastructure for freight electrification along the I-95 corridor and adjacent roads from Connecticut to Maryland.
