Conserve Iowa's Future: Screening, Panel, Reception
Join us for the Iowa premiere of THE [CONSERV]ATIVES, a new documentary following four conservatives working to make environmental action a shared priority within their own political movement: an evangelical climate scientist, the mayor of Miami, a young grassroots organizer, and the late Iowa farmer Ray Gaesser.
Each makes the case, in their own way, that conservation and conservative values have always belonged together. For Iowa, those questions are close to home, from the health of our soil and water to the extreme weather that shapes every growing season.
This evening is dedicated to Ray, whose lifelong commitment to the land and to the next generation of farmers is woven throughout the film.
After the screening, farmers will lead a panel discussion on the challenges Iowa faces today where agriculture, conservation, and the economy meet, and on what a thriving future can look like for the farmers who come next.
The evening closes with a reception with light dinner and drinks.
In honor of Ray Gaesser and his family
