About Event

We're closing out NYC climate week with a bang!

As extreme weather intensifies and disasters become more frequent, the institutions we’ve long relied on—federal agencies, insurance, infrastructure—are showing cracks.

The Climate Hackathon Series is joining forces with Fulton Ring to gather adaptation and resilience experts, civic technologists, and institutional stakeholders—from local governments to insurers and banks—to build tools that help communities adapt before it’s too late.

Join us for a multidisciplinary 1 day hackathon in Manhattan during NYC Climate Week where you can build solutions that empower decision-makers— from institutions to local planners to homeowners—to understand climate risks and take action.

If you would like to attend just for demos and/or networking and cannot participate please purchase a Demo Only ticket. Demos will begin at 6pm.

FAQs

Do I need to be technical?

No. Our Hackathons are intentionally multidisciplinary. The best solutions are created by teams that have both technical and non-technical members. Climate problems in particular are quite thorny and often demand solutions that can address everything from software/hardware to public policy to environmental justice.

What happens to our solutions after the event?

If you and/or your team want to continue to work on your solution after the event talk to one of the event organizers and we will support you. We have had many teams continue to work on their solutions even after the event, whether it's building a fully functional MVP or even starting a company.
