Form + Function with Brent Watts
Brent Watts is the Chief Creative Officer and a founding partner of Struck, where for over three decades he has pioneered the intersection of design, storytelling, and brand experience. What began as a boundary-pushing creative agency in Hollywood has grown into a nationally recognized leader in brand transformation and experiential design- partnering with global icons and local innovators alike.
Under Brent’s leadership, Struck has expanded into large-scale design architecture through its STRKTR practice, delivering landmark projects for clients such as Disney Imagineering, Lagoon, and NBCUniversal. These design-build experiences blur the lines between architecture, storytelling, and innovation, redefining how audiences engage with brands in physical space.
Brent’s creative fingerprint can also be seen across entertainment, retail, and culture. From shaping beloved properties like SpongeBob SquarePants, Shrek, Harry Potter, and Dora the Explorer, to guiding brand platforms for Nike, Pinterest, Mattel, McDonald’s, and the Olympics, his work consistently merges imagination with strategy to create lasting impact. He even designed the medals and torch for the 2002 Winter Olympics, now part of the Olympic Museum collection in Lausanne, Switzerland.
At Struck, Brent leads with both vision and possibility. He inspires teams and clients and demonstrates how design can move fluidly between form and function, opening new ways for brands to connect with people. Whether sketching concepts for a global project or doodling at the dinner table with his family, Brent embodies creativity as both a discipline and a lifelong practice.
Come learn from him this year at Salt Lake Design Week.
