Four Weeks to Demo Sprint – Package & Present Your Idea
Four Weeks to Demo Sprint – Package & Present Your Idea
Practice your demo, sharpen your message, and get feedback before Demo Night.
Friday, March 27
4:30 – 6:00 PM
As we head into the final week of the Four Weeks to Demo Sprint, the focus shifts from building to how you communicate what you’ve created.
This session will help students package their idea into a clear, compelling demo presentation that explains the problem, the concept, and what they learned through the process.
We’ll spend most of the time in peer-to-peer practice sessions, giving teams the opportunity to test their messaging and receive feedback on how to make their demo clearer and more engaging.
Students will work on:
Structuring a 2–3 minute demo
Clearly communicating the problem and use case
Showing the concept or prototype in action
Highlighting what they learned through experimentation
Whether your demo is a working prototype, a product flow, or a simulated AI workflow, the goal is to help you present your idea with clarity and confidence.
Who Should Attend
Tech Exploration Lab students preparing for Demo Night
Students participating in the Four Weeks to Demo Sprint
UW–Madison students independently building an idea
Anyone who wants feedback on how to present an idea clearly
What We'll Do
During the session we will:
Review best practices for presenting early-stage ideas
Practice short demo-style presentations
Provide peer feedback on clarity and storytelling
Help teams refine their final Demo Night presentation
The goal is simple: make your idea easy for others to understand.
About the Four Weeks to Demo Sprint
This sprint provides extra structure and support for students building ideas across the Tech Exploration Lab.
Over four weeks participants:
Define and sharpen their problem
Test key assumptions
Build or refine a lightweight concept
Prepare a 2–3 minute demo
Students can optionally present their work at Demo Night on April 10, an exploration showcase focused on learning and experimentation rather than polished prototypes.
Come Ready To
Bring your draft demo or presentation, including:
prototype or concept walkthrough
slides or demo flow
explanation of the problem and solution
what you’ve learned so far
This session is about practice, feedback, and refining your story before Demo Night.
