Verifying International AI Agreements
Join us for Verifying International AI Agreements, a by-invitation gathering in New York City on Thursday, September 25th.
As frontier AI systems become more powerful, the need for international cooperation to manage shared risks grows. However, international agreements are only effective if parties can trust that others are complying. The event will feature a keynote, panel, Q+A, and demos with researchers and practitioners working on AI verification and governance, as well as time for attendees to connect over drinks and light bites.
Attendees include key figures from research institutions, civil society, frontier AI labs, philanthropic donors, and international organizations working across AI governance, safety, and security.
Event details:
7:00pm: Mingling over drinks and light bites
7:30pm: Programming, including a Keynote by AI verification expert Ben Harack (Oxford Martin AI Governance Initiative); a technical talk by Mauricio Baker (RAND), and a panel + Q&A featuring Ben, Mauricio, Janet Egan (CNAS), and Jordan Schneider (ChinaTalk)
9:00pm onward: Joint reception with AI Safety Connect
Dress: Business casual recommended
Note: This event will be held under Chatham House rules.
