About Event

We live in a time of unprecedented civilizational challenges- climate change, AI risk, inequality, mental health epidemic, fake news, plastic pollution, wars. The list goes on and on. Confronting this reality can be overwhelming, grief inducing and paralyzing.

The challenges seem never-ending and too big for any of us to do anything meaningful about.

But what if it didn't have to be this way? What if there were a way to make sense of these challenges to unearth some common patterns that would allow us to tackle them all together? What if there were frameworks for making sense of this complex situation that would allow us to respond with agency?

Across the globe, people are rolling up their sleeves and tackling these challenges—building new governance models, experimenting with regenerative economies, designing better education systems, healing communities, and confronting AI risk, spiritual fragmentation, and ecological collapse head-on.

But most of these responses remain invisible to the larger public.

In this session, Akhil Puri, an ex-climate tech entrepreneur turned writer on systems change, will give a talk sharing everything he has learnt over the last 8 years about our challenges and give us a few lenses and approaches that he has found effective in tackling them. He will also share examples of alternatives that are already emerging across the globe. The talk will be followed by breakout groups and discussion to deepen our understanding and share what other responses we think we could lead with.

Expect to walk away from this session feeling more hopeful and energized with a deeper understanding and having found a community of like-hearted folks that you can tackle our challenges alongside.

This isn’t a place for abstract theory or passive observation. It’s for people implementing change and those ready to start.

Let’s move from diffused effort to coordinated response.
