Designing the Climate Future for Pasadena
Wildfires, droughts, and extreme weather are no longer rare disasters — they are recurring crises reshaping how we live, build, and plan for the future.
This forum will bring together leaders across climate tech, finance, policy, and community resilience for two conversations:
Panel 1: Innovation for a Livable Planet
How do we reduce emissions and keep global temperatures below 2°C? This panel explores technologies and strategies — from clean energy and EVs to carbon capture, sustainable building materials, and smart data tools — as well as the policies, investments, and entrepreneurial efforts needed to scale solutions.
Panel 2: Rebuilding Better: Innovation and Policy Regulation
This panel focuses on how communities can prepare for and respond to climate-driven events such as wildfires, droughts, and infrastructure disruptions. Attendees will learn about strategies for building fire-resilient and off-grid homes, managing complex water and energy systems under stress, and implementing effective emergency response and recovery plans. The conversation will highlight real-world challenges, innovative solutions, and cross-sector approaches that strengthen community resilience and ensure faster, more sustainable recovery from climate disasters.
Our goal: create a space for dialogue across sectors, highlight promising ideas, and explore opportunities for collaboration that can drive both immediate action and long-term change.
