About Event

We’ve been quietly tending the land by restoring forest, deepening relationships, and creating space for rest, belonging, and reconnection.

Over the past season, we partnered with videographer Louis Fox to capture a glimpse of this work, both the visible and the felt. This film is a small window into what’s been unfolding here.

We invite you to join us for an Open Land Day at Shelterwood.

Come walk the forest, explore the land, and spend time in community.

Then we’ll gather for a screening of the film and a moment to reflect together.

This gathering also marks the opening of our Retreats R&R (Rest & Reconnection) programming for the season, an invitation for more people to come into relationship with this place and the practices we’re growing here by simply enjoying the space and one another’s company.

What to expect:

  • Light snacks + tea/coffee (BYO Packed Lunch)

  • Time to walk and explore the forest

  • Informal connection with community

  • Film screening

  • Space for rest, reflection, and simply being
