WaterPreneurs Congressional Briefing
Purpose of the event and relevancy to the Committee’s jurisdiction:
To give policymakers and their staff a clear, real-world view of the barriers water entrepreneurs face in bringing critical technologies to market—and where targeted federal action can unlock progress. By highlighting issues like the importance of continued reauthorization and effective implementation of the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Program, the need for procurement reform to help startups access public-sector customers, and other policy bottlenecks, the briefing connects innovation on the ground with decisions being made in Washington. The goal is to ensure Congress understands how its actions directly impact the speed, scale, and success of water solutions that are essential to economic growth, infrastructure resilience, and public health.
