We created this gallery to show our love and appreciation for the 888 Inner Artist Initiative, a beautiful chapter that grew from the 888 Inner Circle project. We wanted to celebrate what this initiative achieved over 192 weeks, give the artworks the stage they deserve, and preserve this beautiful story in a place where it can be seen and become a way to discover great artists.
We hope this can lead by example and inspire more projects to celebrate art, connect and support the artists who keep this space alive.
A special thank you to the incredible team behind the Inner Artist Initiative for all the hard work, care, and love they put into making this possible.
The gallery will remain open 24/7 in the metaverse, giving these artworks a lasting home where anyone, anytime, can step in, explore, and discover great artists.
192 WEEKS. ONE EXTRAORDINARY STORY.
On August 15, 2022, the 888 Inner Artist Initiative (IAI) was launched from within the 888 Inner Circle community with a mission: to celebrate, support, and empower artists.
Thanks to a vote by the 888 Inner Circle’s “Inner 8”—holders of eight or more 888IC Genesis tokens—a generous fund was set aside to purchase art from emerging artists.
On August 29, 2022, the Inner Artist Initiative purchased its first works of art. What began that day continued for 192 consecutive weeks.
During that time, IAI built a community of hundreds of “Verified Inner Artists” and launched numerous initiatives designed to celebrate and spotlight their work. Among them was the 888 Inner Circle NFT Art Exhibition, held in Barcelona, Spain, from August 26–31, 2023.
This metaverse museum commemorates that remarkable chapter in the Inner Artist Initiative’s history and the artists who made it possible.
It stands as a testament to every artist who participated in the IAI community and its 192-week Weekly Celebration of Art.
It is a symbol of gratitude—to the artists who created, to those who supported them, and to the community that celebrated alongside them.
And it is a reminder to artists everywhere:
