An interactive art activity which draws attention to environmental crisis affecting Bangkok and inhabitants lived experiences. Visitors will be invited to reflect upon cultural wisdom and heritage and caring practices which could nurture damaged ecology and create a more liveable city. Passers-by are welcome to contribute to the artwork by adding to a city scape of Bangkok features and representations of local action that address climate change and bring about transformations to sustainability (E.g. taking the public electric buses, roof top gardens, litter picking, citizen assemblies to discuss solutions to environmental problems.) Through co-creating this artwork we hope visitors will creatively engage with conversations around this topic and reflect on our deep entanglement with our ecology and reflect on ways of relating to our city that transcend the false modern divides of culture and nature. We hope it will serve as a convivial space for sharing insights and ideas bringing together different knowledges, perspectives and experiences pointing to a variety of pathways to sustainability. As a collaborative piece of art we don’t know how the final piece will turn out. It’s therefor representative of the many uncertainties in the face of climate change. However, as an emergent process, if each person contributes to the piece of art with care we can take heed of these uncertainties and convivially work together to demonstrate how many small actions collectively can bring about huge transformations.
กิจกรรมศิลปะเชิงมีส่วนร่วม ที่สะท้อนวิกฤตสิ่งแวดล้อมในกรุงเทพฯ และประสบการณ์ชีวิตของผู้คน ผู้เข้าร่วมจะได้รับเชิญให้คิดถึงภูมิปัญญา วัฒนธรรม และวิถีการดูแลที่ช่วยเยียวยาธรรมชาติและทำให้เมืองน่าอยู่ขึ้น ผู้ที่ผ่านไปมาสามารถร่วมเติมเต็มภาพกรุงเทพฯ ด้วยการวาดหรือเขียนการกระทำเล็กๆ ที่ช่วยลดผลกระทบจากการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศ เช่น การใช้รถโดยสารไฟฟ้า สวนบนดาดฟ้า การเก็บขยะ หรือการรวมกลุ่มพลเมืองเพื่อหาทางแก้ปัญหาสิ่งแวดล้อม เราหวังว่างานนี้จะเป็นพื้นที่สร้างสรรค์ที่เชื่อมโยงผู้คนให้สนทนา แลกเปลี่ยนความรู้และมุมมองที่แตกต่างกัน เพื่อมองหาหนทางใหม่ๆ สู่ความยั่งยืน และตระหนักถึงความสัมพันธ์อันลึกซึ้งระหว่างเมือง วัฒนธรรม และธรรมชาติ เนื่องจากเป็นงานศิลปะที่สร้างร่วมกัน เราไม่อาจคาดเดารูปแบบสุดท้ายได้ ซึ่งสะท้อนถึงความไม่แน่นอนของการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศ แต่ละการมีส่วนร่วมแม้เพียงเล็กน้อย เมื่อนำมารวมกันสามารถก่อให้เกิดการเปลี่ยนแปลงใหญ่ได้
