LSE BUILD 2026 (LSESU Blockchain x Velocity)

LSE BUILD 2026 is a 4-hour, high-intensity buildathon bringing together ~70 of LSE’s most ambitious builders, entrepreneurs, and developers to design and ship real AI and Blockchain products in a single evening.
Lovable, the title sponsor, provides an AI-powered app builder and 100 credits to each participant so teams can rapidly prototype full-stack applications.
Hosted by LSESU Blockchain and LSESU Velocity, in partnership with LSESU Entrepreneurs, Base, Headstart Global, and Bitget, the event is built to bridge the gap between ideation and real-world product building through hands-on prototyping, mentoring, and rapid-fire demos.
Students form teams of 1-4 and choose between two tracks:
1. Blockchain track for DeFi, quant systems, fintech, and Web3 tools.
2. AI track for AI/ML-powered applications, agents, and data-driven business insight products.
The focus is on shipping prototypes with clear users, problems, and business models, judged by industry professionals on innovation, technical execution, impact & viability, and presentation quality.
Prizes - The two track prizes include fast-tracked internship opportunities, Tangem crypto wallets and cash prizes.

5:00–5:10 PM – Registration & Welcome
5:10–5:40 PM – Opening, Keynotes & Team Formation
5:40–8:00 PM – Hacking Session (2.5 hrs)
8:00–8:10 PM – Project Submission
8:10–8:50 PM – Judging & Demos
8:50–9:00 PM – Awards & Closing
