About Event

Kaafi NYC invites you to a cozy night of chai, community, and creativity on Tuesday, August 12th at 6PM. From slow-brewed Kashmiri chai to butter chicken naanwiches, the menu is a mouthwatering tribute to Pakistani street food, nostalgic sweets, and soulful comfort bites. With a $20 minimum spend, you can indulge in favorites like the gulab jamun doughnut, daal-filled naan, or a steaming cup of masala chai—there’s something to satisfy every craving and warm every soul.

Next week's open mic — co-hosted by Chaiguy and Brown Girl Mag — is an evening of community for poets, storytellers, comics, and creatives to share their voice with others who just get it.

Whether it’s a poem scribbled in your Notes app, a story you’ve been meaning to share, or a few verses that capture everything you’ve been feeling — this is your moment.

Don’t worry about perfection. Just bring your voice, your truth, and your heart. First-timers, seasoned performers, and everyone in between — all are welcome to speak.

About Kaafi & Founder Saud Khan

Kaafi was founded by Saud Khan, a Pakistani-American entrepreneur raised in the heart of hospitality. Born in Peshawar, Pakistan, Saud moved to the U.S. at six and grew up helping in his father’s restaurant. By the age of nine, he was already immersed in the art of food and service.

At 20, Saud entered the food industry with a mission: to create a space that feels both elevated and like home. With Kaafi, he brings that vision to life — crafting a chai and coffee house that honors the rich culinary traditions of Pakistan while inviting New Yorkers into something deeply personal.

Every dish is a love letter to his roots. Every guest is family.
Kaafi isn’t just a café — it’s a celebration of identity, memory, and flavor.
