Energy education everywhere
Educating about energy should be a core part of every child’s school experience. Schools around Australia are already helping students understand, monitor, design, and change how schools and communities use energy sustainably.
When schools actively address energy use, they can also unlock financial savings, model climate action, and extend students' learning experiences. School communities are uniquely placed to explore where energy comes from, how it’s used, and how smarter choices can benefit both people and planet.
This webinar features a diverse panel: a recent high school graduate, a teacher, a Principal, and an energy industry expert. Together, we’ll explore the evolving energy landscape, its implications for teaching and learning, school infrastructure, and programs that support school communities, so we can all develop greater resilience in a changing climate.
Our panellists are
Adele Roeder - former student and Environment Steward at St Columba's College.
Alison Lappin - Leader of Sustainability and Mathematics, Our Lady of the Nativity Primary School.
Michael McLean - Principal, Kerrimuir Primary School.
Wilf Johnston - Executive Director, Roquette Advisory
Presented in partnership with Environment Education Victoria and Cool.org.
