Meet the Winners of the Barbados Lands and Surveys Plot Automation Challenge
Join us for an introduction to the Winner's of the Barbados Lands and Surveys Plot Automation Challenge, and their solutions!
We’re proud to share the results of one of Zindi’s most locally relevant and nationally significant challenges to date — the Barbados Lands & Surveys Plot Extraction Challenge, hosted in partnership with GovTech Barbados Ltd.
This challenge tackled a real-world problem: how to convert thousands of analogue land-survey diagrams into precise, machine-readable digital maps using computer vision, geospatial data science, and AI. Accurate digital maps play a key role in modernising land records, improving transparency in land management, and supporting housing and infrastructure development nationwide.
