Wardrobe Repair & Alteration Course
We invite you into the Jaqkodí Studio, East London, for a refined, small group wardrobe repair and alteration course. Across three sessions, you’ll work on your own three garments from your wardrobe, learning to alter, tack, and untack with confidence.
Hosted by Jaqkodí and led by one of our fashion designers, the altelier offers a slowed, immersive environment designed to honour both process and detail. The atmosphere is thoughtfully curated; from sound to setting; creating space to focus, learn and create with intention.
Early access places are available at a reduced rate of £375. With just four spaces available, this intimate course allows for individual attention and a supportive, creative atmosphere. A deposit of £187.50 reserves your place within the group, with the remaining balance of £187.50 due by Saturday 4th July. A secure payment link will be shared by this date.

Course Date
Day 1 Foundations of Alterations: Sunday 5th July, 12:00–4:30pm
Understanding garment construction and fabric types
Introduction to tools and machines
Core repair skills (hemming, seam adjustments, buttons, fasteners)
Mini application: practice one repair on a garment
Day 2 Alteration Techniques: Sunday 12th July, 12:00–4:30pm
Advanced alteration skills (taking in garments, adjusting waistbands/sleeves, zipper replacement, button holes, press studs)
Garment diagnosis and planning main alteration project
Begin personal garment alteration with guided support
Day 3 Personal Alteration & Creative Styling: Sunday 26th July, 12:00–4:30pm
Pinning, draping, and fitting techniques
Complete personal garment alteration
Creative wardrobe elevation through temporary styling and tacking
Upcycled heels session: upcycling old heels and crafting stand-out pieces
Final review, styling discussion, and group photo

Jaqkodí Studio is approximately a 10-minute walk from Langdon Park DLR station and a 15-minute walk from both Bromley-by-Bow Underground station and East India DLR station
Participation is finalised upon receipt of the remaining balance. If the balance is not completed by the due date, the deposit will remain valid and may be transferred towards the next available Jaqkodí Sustainability Series course, subject to availability.
