Join Google and Beyond.Representation for an evening with Mumbai’s ecosystem to close the Google Mumbai Data Challenge, announce winners and to explore what AI means for young talent and the communities they serve.
As AI reshapes how we work and learn, Mumbai’s next generation needs the digital skills the city demands, and real problems to apply them to. This evening brings together universities, founders, investors, nonprofits, developer communities and young talent to talk about digital skills for Mumbai, and to open a new challenge for the city.
What to expect
Opening remarks from Google on partnering with communities for the long term, and on AI and talent in Mumbai.
Select presentations from Maharashtra's top AI talent, showcasing their solutions for the challenge, "Forecast the air Mumbai breathes," where they built a model that predicts Mumbai’s air pollution hour by hour, up to three days ahead.
Awards ceremony honoring 5 winning teams, with a prize pool of USD 6,000.
High tea, canapés and networking with the Mumbai ecosystem.

About the challenge
Held online from 26 October to 13 November 2026, the challenge was open to anyone in Maharashtra, solo or in teams of up to four.

Registration requires approval. Vegetarian and Jain options will be available. An approved photographer will take photos during the event.
