COM/VERGE x LOOPTOPIA @ RARE : Fashion Upcycling Around the World - LIVE panel talk & podcast recording

​This November, Berlin turns into LOOPTOPIA - a decentralized city-wide festival where circular economy stops being a concept and becomes something you can actually walk into, for 48 hours. COM/VERGE is one of the stops.

​COM/VERGE by RIVED stands for community and convergence: a platform for the global fashion upcycling movement, built around three activations - a podcast, editorial content, and a global upcyclers summit. For LOOPTOPIA, we're recording a podcast episode live, on camera, in front of an audience for the first time - one more stop on the way to that summit.

​Hosted by Angie Aguirre, founder of tHERAPY Recycle & Exorcise Berlin, four international upcyclers living in Berlin join an interactive panel to zoom out from our city and explore the bigger cultural story behind the upcycling movement worldwide. Panelists are selected through a separate open call on our own channels, for a genuinely global mix.

​Opening exclusively for this event. RARE is a collective formed by six Berlin-based independent designers who believe that collaboration and sustainability go hand in hand: Fade Out Label, tHERAPY Recycle and Exorcise, Tata Christiane, Everyday Pieces, K∆IGERH∆RDT and Chain Cult. RARE is a home for their work, but also a platform for events and art.
