About Event

This is a small, conversational virtual event where geospatial folks using AI coding assistants (commonly called vibe coding) share what they're building and how. The purpose is simple: learn from each other.

Attendees are on-camera and screen share what they've built or are working on, and the group talks through it together. Be ready to share the technical details of your work. Expect to cover what coding assistant you use. What problem are you solving, data formats, programming language, geospatial libraries or platforms, and especially what's working, and what isn't.

No limits on technology — Python, JavaScript, R, QGIS plugins, web apps, automations, Esri, whatever. The only requirement is that it's geospatial-focused and you used an LLM-powered coding tool to build it.

Attendance is limited to 10 people so everyone has a chance to participate. 6 people will present for 10 minutes. Like in Fight Club - if it's your first time attending you have to present. If If we're oversubscribed, we'll get you into the next one.

All experience levels welcome. Registration requires approval — tell us what you'll be sharing.

The interest in this idea is strong, but we are working to keep attendance low so it can be a conversation. We want to expand the group to have more events focused on the Americas time zones, but also in the rest of the world. Contact me if you are interested in hosting a Geospatial Vibe Coding Show and Tell event once or twice a month.
