The Industry Discourse, Fifth Edition (TID 5.0)
The Industry Discourse (TID), the flagship conference of the SPE University of Lagos Student Chapter, returns for its fifth and most ambitious edition. TID 5.0 is a pan-African energy conference, summit, and dialogue bringing together policymakers, investors, technologists, communities, and young leaders from across the continent and beyond.
Since its launch in 2019 with ~600 attendees at the University of Lagos, TID has grown across five editions to become the largest student-led energy conference in sub-Saharan Africa, with participation spanning nine African countries and over 2,500 delegates in its most recent physical editions.
What to Expect:
TID 5.0 features a keynote address, three expert panel sessions, three competition tracks, exhibition booths, and structured networking, all designed to move the conversation from insight to action.
Panel Sessions:
Three panels featuring senior industry leaders, policymakers, and practitioners on Diversity, Equity & Inclusion in Energy; Policy & Finance for Africa's Energy Future; and How Industry is Delivering Resilience on the Ground.
Competition Tracks:
The Energy Startup Challenge (university-level startup pitches with a ₦2.25 million prize pool), the Secondary School Energy League, and the Social Media Challenge.
