Agenda Highlights

Orkla IT’s Azure Cost Visibility Transformation

Erik Lieng Bjerregård & Pilasilda Anton-George – Orkla IT

Orkla IT’s Azure cost visibility transformation focuses on strengthening transparency, scalability, and trust in cloud financial data across the organization.

In this session, Erik and Pilasilda will walk through how Orkla IT re-architected its cost visibility platform — moving from direct Power BI and Microsoft API integrations to a Databricks-centric data foundation, while continuing to leverage Power BI as the presentation layer.

This will be a practical session where we explore:

  • The presentation layer in Power BI

  • The technical architecture behind the solution

  • How Azure cost data is ingested, processed, and modeled in Databricks

  • How curated data is exposed to Power BI for scalable reporting

This session offers both architectural depth and operational insight into building a scalable enterprise cost visibility platform.

From Kubernetes Blind Spots to FinOps Action: Real-Time Visibility & Optimization with Kubecost
Emil Magni – DevOps Technical Specialist, IBM Norway

Kubernetes has become a cornerstone of modern cloud-native workloads, but it often introduces blind spots in FinOps practices. Costs are difficult to attribute at a granular level, overprovisioning is common, and governance can conflict with developer velocity.

In this session, Emil will explain why Kubernetes cost management is increasingly critical for FinOps maturity. He will demonstrate how Kubecost enables:

  • Real-time granular cost visibility

  • Actionable optimization insights

  • Improved governance without slowing down development

This session bridges platform engineering and financial accountability — helping teams shift from cost visibility to measurable FinOps action.
