Katazome and Tsutsugaki Workshop! (drop-in)

​Heyyy, come and visit my market stall at Craftoverts Fest! I’ll be bringing some of my textile works, as well as showing you some of the traditional processes used to make them!

​Katazome is a stencil based resist-dyeing technique used in making traditional Edo period textiles. I’ll be bringing a range of hand cut stencils showcased for you to try your hand at!

​Tsutsugaki is another traditional resist-dyeing technique, but more freestyle. There are no limits to what you can design and create, so bring your biggest ideas to the table!

Please note that workshop tickets do not include entry to the festival, which can be bought online or at the door for 300-500yen.
