What is a Global Service Jam?
A Jam is a hands-on design sprint where participants work together on a shared global theme revealed at the start of the event.
Over one weekend, teams:
• explore real problems
• generate ideas
• prototype services
• share their work with the community
It’s fast-paced, collaborative, and focused on learning by doing.
Who is it for?
Anyone curious about creativity, collaboration, and service design.
Participants often include:
• designers
• product managers
• researchers
• entrepreneurs
• students
• public sector professionals
• and people from many other disciplines
No prior service design experience is required; curiosity is enough.
What’s included?
Your registration helps cover:
• event materials
• light snacks and refreshments
• lunch on Sunday
• and access to the full Jam experience
What should I bring?
We’ll provide basic materials (paper, markers, sticky notes) along with coffee, tea, and light refreshments throughout the weekend. But the recommendation is to treat the Jam a bit like a creative day at the office - come prepared to work, experiment, and collaborate.
Helpful things to bring:
• Laptop (for research, slides, and prototyping)
• Notebook or stationery if you enjoy working on paper
• A packed lunch or snack for Saturday if you prefer something specific
• Your curiosity and willingness to experiment
Lunch will be provided on Sunday during the final showcase.
