How can art education shape a greener, more responsible future?
Join us for Art & Education for a Sustainable Future, a virtual gathering that brings together artists, educators, students, and sustainability advocates to explore the transformative role of art in environmental action.

This online event will feature discussions on:

  • How art education influences sustainable mindsets

  • The role of creative practices in promoting ecological literacy

  • Emerging trends in eco-art pedagogy

  • Accessible approaches to integrating sustainability into classrooms and community programs

Here are the 4 panelists:
Agapi Nikolakopoulos, M.A.

Agapi is a multidisciplinary visual artist and educator with over 20 years of experience. Her practice blends in sustainable art-making, inclusive teaching, and community-centered programming, fostering environmentally mindful creativity.

She works as a community arts instructor at The Ottawa School of Art where her curriculum explores artist identity, storytelling, intuitive drawing and world-building. More recently she has had the opportunity to work on collaborative arts-based science communication projects and is in the beginnings of her thesis at the Canadian Museum of Nature which explores how process oriented art practices can contribute to ecological literacy and agency.

This event also features a New Year's resolution workshop (a guided art-coaching session) designed to help participants reflect, set meaningful goals, and align their creative practices with sustainable values.

The Ecryate Eco Art Series is a unique opportunity that unites artists, social entrepreneurs, and sustainability changemakers to explore the power of conscious, environmentally responsible creation. Together, we paint for a sustainable future through art & education, one brush stroke at a time 🌍.
