Cursor Hack Day - Halifax

​We’re trying something new: an experimental, low-pressure hack half-day. Cursor credits will be provided. Think of it as a sandbox session to finally build the thing you've been putting off -or ran out of credits for.

​​What’s this all about?

​​Instead of a 48-hour race to nowhere, this is your day to sit down and finally make progress on that project you keep saying you’ll get to.

• ​​A half-day build sprint with generous Cursor credits

• ​​Work solo (for now - future ones may have team formations)

• ​​Bring any project you’ve already started or an idea that’s been sitting in your notes

• ​​Want to start something new? Go for it. But you don’t have to; finishing your projects is encouraged!

​​No themes. No required tech stacks. No slides. Just bring your laptop, your curiosity, and whatever you’re excited to build or finish.

​​Agenda

• ​​9:00 - 9:30 - doors open & settle in

• ​​9:30 - 12:30 - hack

• ​12:30 - 1:00 - break

• ​1:00 - 2:30 - hack

• ​​2:30 - 4:00 - quick show-and-tells (highly recommend) w/ audience voting!

​​Will there be prizes?
The final winner will be chosen by the crowd and get a bunch of Cursor credits!

• ​​​Your project must be ready at 2:30pm

• ​​​Projects must be original work, with any reused code clearly noted

We're experimenting with these smaller events to see what sticks. If this goes well, we’ll do more - maybe with themes, workshops, teams, or other fun formats. If you’ve got feedback or wild ideas, we’d love to hear them. Please reach out!
