About Event

Coders, developers, designers and makers of Vizag, this one is yours to solve a problem for the Farmers using AgriTech.

Somewhere out there is a farmer losing part of every harvest to a problem you could fix. The idea is the easy part. Building the thing that actually reaches the farmer takes hands on keyboards and a few weekends of honest work. That is what the Buildathon is for.

This is the first kickoff. The Buildathon is an initiative of AgriPreneurs, and it is where the software and tech community stops reading about farmer problems and starts building for them. You will not sit and watch. You will pick a real problem, find your Tribe, and leave with something to build.

Born on 6 December 2025, AgriPreneurs is a grassroots community of 250+ builders in Vizag that turns real farmer problems into farmer-first startups. Our goal is five of them demo-ready for AgriPreneurs Day at the Visakha Organic Mela on 12 December 2026.

The Buildathon runs as a monthly cycle: a half-day kickoff, up to three weeks of building and real field work, then a showcase at the monthly meet where your Tribe shows what it built with real farmer numbers. The first showcase is at our meet on 17 October.

In this session:

🌱 The ground truth. A short keynote from the field, the real leaks where a farmer loses money.

🎤 Idea Authors and people with ideas pitch live. 10 minutes each, the problems worth building for.

🛠️ The build huddle. Two hours to join an Innovation Tribe. Software and IoT builders lead, every skill welcome.

🧭 Pick your build. One small thing you can put in a farmer's hands in three weeks, not a whole platform.

Who should come: software developers, coders, web and app builders, UI and UX designers, data and product people, IoT and hardware tinkerers, and anyone from our partner communities across the ecosystem. Farmers, entrepreneurs, mentors and investors welcome too.

Thanks to our partner communities, AI for Vizag and AI Karyashala. Support from RTIH, G-TEC and the Venture Development Center.

No idea yet? Bring your skills, whether tech, business or farming, and join an Innovation Tribe. One weekend of your skill could be the thing that gets a farmer-first startup to the stage in December.

Learn more at agripreneurs.io. Please arrive by 9:30, the session begins promptly.
