Climate Book & Article Club: The Circular Economy
Overview
Join Climate Designers Toronto & Uplift Collective for our very first book club meet featuring the topic of the Circular Economy!
Over the course of the evening, we'll reflect on how we as designers and sustainability professionals play a role in the implementation of the circular economy, what it means to make real impact, and how these initiatives fit into the bigger picture of climate and environmentalism. As we understand busy professionals have a lot on their plates, there is no requirement to read both the book and the articles - read what you can, and come ready to learn, explore, and share from your perspective.
When: August 20th 2026, 6:30-8:30 PM
Where: Boxcar Social (Yonge St. near Summerhill Station)

About the Climate Book & Article Club
Our book club brings together designers, climate professionals, and curious members of the public to explore climate and sustainability topics through the review of reputable, well-researched sources.
We focus on the intersection of designers and sustainability professionals as designers are decision-makers and have immense impact on the environment through their work and their choices. This club closes the gap between those choices and the depth of research designers don't always have time to access, while giving sustainability professionals a chance to connect directly with the people putting their expertise into practice.
