💡 As AI agents evolve toward greater autonomy, they require the ability to transact independently while preserving human oversight for critical operations, especially payments. Yet today's payment and authorization infrastructure wasn't designed for machine-to-machine commerce, creating a fundamental gap in autonomous AI systems. At Sylow, we're building the infrastructure that empowers developers to create next-generation personalized commerce experiences.
In this talk, the Sylow team demonstrates our solution leveraging emerging open standards. We'll showcase an agent that interprets user instructions, researches across merchants, assembles shopping carts, and completes checkout autonomously. Our live demo features real implementations of cutting-edge protocols working in concert: x402 (HTTP-native payments via the 402 status code), Model Context Protocol (MCP) for AI-system connectivity, OAuth 2.0, and GNAP (Grant Negotiation and Authorization Protocol) for secure autonomous transactions.
Through hands-on code examples and architectural deep-dives, you'll discover how we've built monetizable AI marketplaces, enabling agents to programmatically discover, negotiate, and execute payments. We'll tackle the technical challenges of protocol bridging, authorization delegation, payment verification endpoints, and the complex state machines underlying modern authorization flows.
Attendees will leave with practical knowledge for building payment-aware AI systems, deployment strategies for monetizable MCP servers and a clear understanding of how these emerging standards interconnect to define the future of ambient commerce.
