About Event

Funded by a nearly $200 million grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and implemented by the Denver Regional Council of Governments, Power Ahead Colorado is a regional initiative to reduce emissions from the building sector through 2029. Over the next four years, the program will connect residents, businesses, and property owners with energy advising, financial incentives, and verified contractors to accelerate energy efficiency and electrification upgrades at scale.

With targeted investment in low-income households, Power Ahead Colorado is designed to ensure that communities most vulnerable to high energy burdens and poor indoor air quality benefit directly from building upgrades. The program also provides training and workforce development resources, $6 million in innovation grants for businesses and community-based organizations, and support for local governments adopting and implementing advanced building policies. In addition, the Colorado Contractor Hub serves as a centralized platform for contractors to access resources, connect with customers, and grow their electrification business.

This session will provide an overview of the program’s structure, funding pathways, implementation timeline, and upcoming opportunities for partnership.
