Reforesters’ Practice for Climate Week NYC

Climate Week NYC is full of cognitive downloads and networking and yet we know that the work of healing the planet is grounded in our bodies; it steers clear of consumptive behavior and connects to the land and its people, strengthening the foundation of our ecosystem through community. Amid the hubbub, this is our opportunity to courageously reforest ourselves inside our concrete jungle and allow the change to begin with ourselves.

We’ll meet at Reforesters Laboratory and begin with a grounded meditation, move through a somatic practice and reflective writing exercise that culminates in an opportunity to integrate your experience of Climate Week NYC and express your perspective within a more intimate group of potential collaborators. We will then transition to an open time of networking in the Cafe. You do not need special clothes, gear, or history with yoga and meditation to participate in this event.

Agenda: Doors open at 8am and we will begin promptly at 8:15am. Health in Climate networking at 9am in the Cafe concluding at 9:45am as we re-enter the Climate Week NYC events with a renewed sense of self and community
