Coffee & Conversation @ The Brands & Culture Villa: What Remains Human? Authorship, Attribution & AI
Join us for a breakfast event beginning with a hands-on Adobe Firefly workshop, followed by a panel on creativity, responsibility, and who owns the work.
As AI becomes more capable of generating images, ideas, campaigns, and strategies, the role of people as creators is changing. As machines do more of the making, a harder question surfaces: who gets the credit?
This conversation explores authorship and ownership. Is it in the prompt, the process, the edit, the selection, the intention, or in the judgment? The line between inspiration, collaboration, and automation has blurred. Attribution has never been more urgent.
The conversation brings together three distinct perspectives: the artist, represented by Adriana Vita; industry, represented by global type and design company Monotype; and advocacy, represented by the creative-rights nonprofit Useful Arts.
SPEAKERS:
- Phil Garnham - Executive Creative Director at Monotype
- Elley Cheng - CEO and Founder, Useful Arts
- Adriana Vita - AI Artist and Adobe Ambassador
MODERATED BY:
Terry Savage, Former Chairman & CEO, Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity (2003–2018); Chairman, The Marketing Academy; Founder, Savages Unlimited
*The conversation is curated by Enter Salon, a cultural network connecting the people behind creativity.
