Following the successful ENABLE Canada convenings in Niagara, Toronto, Sudbury, and York Region, the series continues in Peterborough on June 26. This community-led session brings together leaders from education, employment, government, technology, and community organizations to advance accessibility and disability-inclusive workforce systems in the region.
With over 8 million Canadians living with a disability, and many job-ready individuals still excluded from meaningful employment, regions like Peterborough play a critical role in building inclusive labour markets. ENABLE Canada – Peterborough focuses on aligning local employers, post-secondary institutions, innovators, and community partners around practical solutions that strengthen workforce participation and economic inclusion.
The Peterborough convening is designed to move beyond awareness and toward action—highlighting how accessibility, inclusive design, and collaboration can unlock talent, reduce systemic barriers, and support long-term workforce resilience.
