Cambridge Poetry Prize
The “Climate Imaginaries” Cambridge Poetry Prize is a flagship spoken-word event exploring how poetry can reshape the way we understand and respond to the climate crisis. Curated as part of the Cambridge Festival 2026 and Cambridge Climate Week, the event brings together poets from around the world to perform original work that re-imagines climate change through language, emotion, memory, and creativity.
Shortlisted finalists, selected through an open international call, will perform live before a public audience and judging panel, blending competition with celebration and reflection. By centring lived experience and artistic expression alongside climate discourse, the Prize highlights the vital role of the arts in fostering emotional connection, environmental justice, and collective hope for the future.
