AI Agents for Health: ClawBio Hackathon
Build AI agents for genomics, pharmacogenomics, and digital health using ClawBio, the open-source bioinformatics agent framework.
What you will do
Work in teams to extend ClawBio with new skills, improve existing ones, or build novel agent workflows for real-world health and genomics challenges. ClawBio provides 40+ executable bioinformatics skills that run locally on your machine; your job is to push the boundaries.
Challenge tracks
New skill development: add a bioinformatics skill to ClawBio (variant annotation, pathway analysis, clinical reporting, or your own idea)
Agent workflows: chain multiple skills together to solve a multi-step genomics question
Equity and access: use the HEIM equity scoring framework to audit representation gaps in genomic datasets
Bonus: TuringDB Graph Challenge
Want to go further? Teams that incorporate TuringDB as a graph layer in their project are eligible for additional prizes. Three graph-focused directions to explore:
Drug repurposing with knowledge graphs: use agentic AI and knowledge graphs to identify repurposed drugs, with a focus on rare diseases and underrepresented patient populations
Graph-based memory for biomedical agents: build a graph-powered memory layer to support agentic systems in R&D, clinical research, tumour boards, and more
Multimodal knowledge graph integration: fuse multiomics with clinical data and knowledge graphs inside agentic workflows, with applications in cancer research.
