Grown, Not Drilled: Biomanufacturing and the Race to Remake Everything

​China has declared biomanufacturing a national strategic priority. The US has the science, the researchers, and the founders. What it does not have is the policy urgency, the domestic production infrastructure, or the capital formation to match the pace. That gap is closing in the wrong direction.

​Sixty percent of all physical inputs to the global economy can be produced with biology. Not someday. The tools exist. The companies are scaling. The question is whether the United States leads this transition or watches someone else do it.

​This panel brings together founders actively scaling biology-based technologies and the investors backing them for a direct conversation about what is actually working, where the US stands, and what an economy built on biological inputs looks like in practice.

​The conversation will cover the competitive reality with China, the technologies scaling right now (fermentation, synthetic biology, biological materials), what a biology-powered supply chain actually looks like sector by sector, and what investors need to understand about a category that is not pharma and not software.
