About Event

Why this session now?

Methane is responsible for a big slice of today's warming, yet it only lingers in the atmosphere for about a decade - which means aggressive cuts this decade can noticeably slow the rate of warming in our lifetimes.

Enteric methane from ruminants and manure alone accounts for more than 30% of human-caused methane, making food and ag one of the most important levers for near-term climate action.

This session is designed for people who want to move beyond "methane is bad" into "here's where the biggest levers are, who's funding what, and how to plug in as an operator, founder, or investor."

What we'll cover:

In 75 minutes, we'll move from framing to funding to implementation to audience Q&A:

  • Big-picture science: Why methane and other short-lived climate pollutants punch above their weight, where science shows the highest-impact cuts across energy, waste, and especially enteric methane in agriculture.

  • Funding and programs: How the global methane effort is being financed, where capital is flowing, and where the biggest gaps remain for livestock, waste, and oil and gas.

  • Private sector implementation: What it takes to deploy methane solutions on the ground, from technologies tackling enteric emissions to monitoring, reporting, and verification at scale.

  • Skills and careers: The types of operators, domain experts, and builders methane projects are desperate to hire next, and how to position yourself to work on this problem.

You'll also hear each panelist answer one core question: "Methane comes from many sources; where are the biggest near-term opportunities to make progress?" before opening it up for a robust audience Q&A.

Who this is for?

  • Climate operators and career switchers who want to work on fast-acting levers, not just long-term bets.

  • Founders and product builders exploring methane and enteric emissions as a problem space.

  • Investors, philanthropies, and program leads deciding where to deploy capital for maximum near-term cooling.

  • Policy, advocacy, and communications folks who need a sharper story on why methane is the "emergency brake" for the climate system - and how to use it without letting CO2 off the hook.

If you care about slowing warming now while deeper decarbonization ramps up, this session is for you.

👉 RSVP today.

(If you can't make the live event I will send you my summary notes afterwards).
