The Hooks & Books Club: Chapter Two
The Hooks & Books Club invites you to Chapter Two!
This month's read: East of Eden by John Steinbeck.
This book tackles themes of love, identity, and religion. Book club will involve a guided discussion around these themes, the plot and characters, as well as any other topics that come up while reading. You don't have to finish the book to attend (however, there will be spoilers, so you have been forewarned!) It will be a lovely evening of book talk and meeting new people :) You are also welcome to bring a crafty project to work on while you listen.
We will be meeting at South London Louie this time, and there will be staff on site to serve food and drinks.
If you are driving down, there is street parking which is free after 6:30 pm. If you are taking public transport:
Nearest Underground & Bus Connections
Oval Station (Northern line): Take bus 36 or 436.
Elephant & Castle Station (Northern/Bakerloo lines): Take bus 12, 171, or 436.
Vauxhall Station (Victoria line): Take bus 36 or 436.
Please arrive from 6:30 pm onwards, and we will start promptly at 7 pm.
We will also be taking pictures and videos of the event, however, if you don't want to be in them, please let me know at the start and we will make sure you aren't in the shot!
REFUNDS: tickets can only be refunded up to one week before the event to ensure venue hire costs are covered or if you are able to find a suitable replacement.
