Women in Climate & Energy Learning Meetup - May 2026

​This is a monthly virtual (via zoom) meetup for women who work in, or want to work in, climate and the energy transition.

​We will use a Lean Coffee format, where we co-create the agenda real-time and get through the topics that are most interesting to the group. Each month we'll pick 1-2 relevant energy and climate industry learning themes to focus on.

​This month, we're turning our attention beyond the US and learning about energy/climate market landscape in 2 of the biggest countries in the world: China and India. We have 2 guests, Jo Pattabiraman (Partner at Aureolis Ventures based out of Mumbai) and Sharon Chen (Co-founder at Persimmon Systems based out of SF and Beijing), who will share their deep insights with us about these 2 markets they are building and investing in.

​Jyotsna (Jo) Pattabiraman — is Partner at Aureolis Ventures, an early stage fund that backs visionary founders building transformative companies in deep tech, climate, health, headquartered in Mumbai with a global team. Jo is an exited entrepreneur and a Stanford GSB alum.

​Sharon Chen — is Co-founder of Persimmon Systems, a platform helping Western deeptech innovators navigate Asian industrial ecosystems to scale hardware technologies. She holds a BS in Materials Science from Stanford and previously worked in energy and industrials.
