Unraveling Fashion: Restitching a Circular Future
Fashion is more than garments; it is a cultural process that reflects systems of extraction, exploitation, creativity, and transformation. This session reimagines the circular economy through the lens of fashion, shifting the focus from final products to the deeper processes, philosophies, and lived experiences that shape them.
This interdisciplinary program brings together artists, students, policymakers, and social entrepreneurs to ask: What should the world look like if fashion, and by extension industry, were truly circular? Through a dynamic format blending exhibition, rapid-fire exchange, and participatory dialogue, participants will explore how fashion can serve as a radical framework for cultural and economic change.
Interactive moments of movement and co-creation will invite participants to stitch together new narratives of possibility. By centering fashion as both process and philosophy, this session transforms the circular economy from a technical solution into a cultural imperative, sparking collective imagination for industries and societies that are equitable, sustainable, and deeply interconnected.
