​A note from the host (james)

​Card games have been a big part of my life. Something about sitting around a table, playing a simple game, just being present with people. Some of my best conversations have happened that way.

​People say don't mix work and fun. I think that's wrong. The best professional relationships are personal ones. The problem isn't the mix — it's that most events designed to do that just don't work. You walk into a room full of strangers, grab a drink, and hope someone interesting is standing near the snacks.

​Games fix that. They give people a reason to talk, think, scheme, laugh.

​New Rules is a card game night for founders, operators, and builders. Whether you're a seasoned card-game enthusiast or completely new, all are welcome.

​Bring a plus one (or two)
