Afterimage: Opening Reception
Join us for the opening night of Afterimage, a group exhibition exploring the theme of transference: what we carry forward, what remains with us, and how ideas and creative work move between people and places.
Opening Night brings together artists, collectors, founders, and business leaders from across Vancouver for an evening of art, conversation, and new connections.
Be among the first to experience the exhibition, meet the artists behind the work, and discover art pieces available to collect. Original works are mostly priced from $50 to $500, which is to say most people in the room can leave owning one.
Afterimage is presented by The 525 Art Pop-Ups Inc. and curated by Ketty Haolin Zhang and Delaney Yvonne, with generous support from InvestEco, MDS Law, and Rise Above Finance. The exhibition runs August 21 to 29, with a public closing reception on Saturday, August 29, 6pm-late.
Featuring aworks by Aldeneil Española, Gabriela García-Luna, Hau Pham, Jordyn Julianna, Nick Lakowski, Nicole Bie, Parumveer Walia, Sophia Boutsakis & Anais Casselman-Green, and Taaye, Afterimage invites viewers to reflect on what we have inherited, what we pass on, what the body knows before the mind, and what we carry across a threshold, a border, and a state of being.
