

Morning Run & Park Playdate
If you’ve been looking for a simple way to get out of the house on Mondays and start your week right with movement, fresh air, and an opportunity to build community with other Moms in Sacramento, this is for you!
Our Monday mornings are about getting out of the house, moving your body in a way that feels doable, and being around other moms who get it. No pressure. No expectations. Just fresh air, movement, and community to start the week together.
This is a free, weekly meetup for moms in all seasons of motherhood. Come exactly as you are!
What this is
A supportive Monday morning walk/run followed by a park playdate for moms and kids. Structured enough to feel supportive, relaxed enough to feel human.
Movement is optional. Connection is the point.
Timing & arrival
We meet at 9:30 AM and always allow a 15-minute grace period.
Mornings with kids are unpredictable. Some mamas are unloading strollers, nursing, calming toddlers, or running a little late and that’s okay. We usually warm up, chat, and settle in before starting together.
How the walk/run works
We always start together as a group.
Mile 1
A walk together to warm up, chat, and ease into movement.
Mile 2
Interval walk/run as a group.
Before starting mile two, we check in with everyone. This is where we normalize postpartum recovery, low-energy mornings, and weeks where running just isn’t it. Showing up and setting a routine that feels good is the point...
So if a mama wants or needs to keep walking, we buddy up intentionally.

This is not a race.
This is not about speed.
This is about moving together.
Pace & fitness level
All fitness levels are welcome.
Many mamas are:
New or newer to running
Returning to movement after pregnancy or time off
Trying intervals for the first time
While some mamas are experienced runners here for the community and routine, and still choose to stay with the group.
There is room for everyone here!
Strollers & kids
This meetup is stroller-friendly on smooth paths. So jogging strollers are not required and many mamas use regular strollers.
Babies, toddlers, and kids are always welcome. Kids being kids is expected and normal here!
After the walk
We finish at the playground.
Kids play.
Mamas catch their breath, chat, and linger.
This is often where friendships really start.

Things you don’t need to worry about
Being “too slow”
Not knowing anyone

Your kids being loud or energetic
Showing up on a hard day
Those things are already accounted for.
You won’t walk in alone.
Someone will talk to you.
We’ll help you find a buddy.
You can take breaks.
You can leave early.
You can just try it once.
RSVP (please read)
RSVP is required for this meetup, mama.
I use RSVPs to know who’s coming and how many mamas to look out for. It also helps me make sure I’m there and ready for you!
If you RSVP and plans change, that’s completely okay. You can update your RSVP to “not going” or send me a quick DM so I know you weren’t able to make it.
RSVPing also keeps you connected to our email community so you stay in the loop on all things Hot Moms. It’s one of the ways I’m able to keep these meetups free and accessible for everyone.
